On Saturday November 16th, Berea Farmers Market will be holding its last outdoor market of the season. To celebrate, we are hosting a Community Feast and Stone Soup Storytelling Event.
Schedule:
10:00am-1:00pm: Music, and Market
Noon-1:00pm: Community Meal sharing! Story telling, and fun around the fire!
We will have live music all day, then at around NOON we will begin serving up stone soup yumminess supported by Noodle Nirvana and El Rio Grande. Plus local kids nature educator, Xyara Asplen will be sharing the Story of Stone Soup, with live music accompaniment while we eat together beside the fire.
The soup will be made from fresh ingredients directly from out local farms. We will have a Stone soup with our farmer grown fresh ingredients from Dave’s Green Thumb, Best Family Farm and Lazy Eight Stock Farm and tamales prepared by Rio Grand using meat from Sunny Wolf Farm and beans from Salamander Springs. Plus Salamander Springs Cornbread and using DnC Eggs, prepared by Gabriel of Mountainside Farm served with DnC eggs honey and treats from Becky's Breads and Loblolly Lane Sweets. It's a free community feast for us all to enjoy. Come out on and share this last outdoor market day and meal with us! Gather at noon.
Our Berea Farmers Market 'Winter Market' has arrived!
Our Berea Farmers Market Winter market has arrived! We are an all year around, producer only farmers market. This week we embrace winter hours and will now open at 10am every Saturday. Our winter market runs from 10-1pm every Saturday until the end of March. We have a great selection of new and familiar vender faces and products for you this winter. Do you have produce or value added products that would compliment our Farmers Market? Consider getting in contact and joining our winter market. We will be outside at Fee Park until Nov 16th. After this date we move back inside to 101 Fee Street, Parish House for the rest of the season. We look forward to sharing this new season with you all.
Junior Farmers Markets at Berea Farmers Market!
on the last weekend of each summer market, we are proud to host the Berea Junior Farmers Market. Thanks to funding from the NRPA, Heather Dent is the proud manager of this wonderful junior farmers market project. We have hosted a couple of these events in the past and now, due to this funding support we have been able to make 2019 a full season.
